Your little learner is continuing to explore the world around them. In this stage of development they are learning how to interact with other children, learning new skills and expanding their cognitive horizons.
We believe that by encouraging independence and learning through play your preschooler will gain confidence in themselves and prepare for their school years. Taking influence from different philosophies (montessori, waldorf) and incorporating them into our program we will strengthen these skills
We have structured our rooms and programs through the eyes of preschoolers with plenty of opportunities for self-discovery. Our preschool rooms are child-centered and provide daily educational experiences through free and imaginative play, art, music, reading, stories, gardening, puppet shows, physical activity, dance, meals, etc.
Children learn through play, our classrooms are designed so children can explore and learn through various activities. Through dramatic play children learn to interact in social situations and solve everyday problems. Fine motor work allows children to problem solve and build strength in their fingers, hand-eye coordination and brain development. Allowing children to interact with musical instruments and dancing scarves develops basic math skills such as rhythm and patterns.
Teachers will support and guide your preschool through these learning experiences by scaffolding off their play and encouraging them to challenge themselves to think bigger.
We are your partner in the child-rearing process. We value open communication with families and hope to be a valuable resource in the adventures of parenting. Our doors are always open for parent/guardian visits and moms are always welcome to come breastfeed their children.
