What an awesome week we had at EcoBaby!
In the Toddler room the theme was "Stop, Drop. And Roll". We learned about being careful in the kitchen if Dad or Mom is cooking, had an extra fire drill to review getting outside fast, and practiced stopping, dropping and rolling under a sheet we pretended was smoke. We also had a special visitor! One of my infant friends has a very brave Dad who works as a fire fighter in the Troy Police Department. He brought all of his gear to show the toddlers. At first some of my friends were scared but Fireman Matt helped us learn that if they see someone in the big fire suit that they are there to help. We are so lucky to have such great families who are frequently part of the learning going on at EcoBaby. Thanks for visiting, Fireman Matt!
The Infant room also had quite a week, it was a vocabulary party in there! The autumn sun has been shining through the prisms in the windows so I've been hearing "rainbow", "purple" and "look" in addition to a ton of other awesome new words.
Don't forget - EcoBaby will be closed Monday, October 12, 2015 for Colombus Day. My teacher friends are attending a conference and will see you with lots of snazzy Eco-conscious new ideas on Tuesday the 13th!
